These Repair Terms & Conditions govern all servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and related workshop services carried out by Woking Bikes, UK. (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking a repair, leaving a bicycle with us, or authorising any work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.
We provide servicing, diagnostics and repairs for, but not limited to:
We reserve the right to refuse work on any product where, in our professional opinion, it would be unsafe, uneconomical to repair, beyond our capabilities, or where suitable replacement parts are unavailable.
Any quotation or estimate provided is based on the visible condition of the bicycle at the time of inspection.
Additional faults may only become apparent once the bicycle has been dismantled or diagnostic testing has begun.
Should additional work or replacement parts be required, we will contact you for approval before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
Estimates are not fixed quotations unless expressly stated.
Diagnostic inspections are chargeable unless otherwise agreed.
Diagnostic fees cover the time spent inspecting, testing and identifying faults and remain payable regardless of whether you proceed with the repair.
By leaving your bicycle with us, you authorise us to carry out the work you have approved.
No additional chargeable work will be carried out without your consent unless immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent further damage or to make the bicycle safe.

Where exact replacement parts are unavailable, we may recommend suitable alternatives.
If you ask us to fit parts supplied by you:
If a customer-supplied part causes additional faults or damage, we accept no responsibility for those issues.
Our technicians may identify components that are unsafe, excessively worn or approaching failure.
Where safety-critical faults are identified, we will advise you accordingly.
If you decline recommended safety repairs, we cannot accept responsibility for failures arising from those unrepaired components.
We reserve the right to refuse to release an electric bicycle in an unsafe condition where doing so may pose a significant safety risk.
Electric bicycles contain high-voltage electrical systems.
We reserve the right to refuse repairs involving:
Manufacturer software restrictions may limit our ability to diagnose or repair certain faults.
Lithium-ion batteries require careful handling.
Customers must disclose if a battery has:
For safety reasons we may refuse to charge, test or repair batteries that present an unacceptable risk.
Where necessary, we may carry out short test rides before and after repairs to verify diagnosis and confirm the repair has been successfully completed.
Reasonable care will always be taken during any test ride.
We warrant our workmanship for 90 days from the date of collection unless otherwise stated.
This warranty applies only to defects directly resulting from our workmanship.
The warranty does not cover:
Manufacturer warranties remain the responsibility of the manufacturer.
Bicycles contain components that naturally wear during normal use.
Items including chains, brake pads, tyres, tubes, bearings, cables, cassettes, chainrings and suspension components require routine maintenance and replacement.
Normal wear is not covered by any repair warranty.
While reasonable care is taken at all times, bicycles presented for repair may already contain scratches, marks or cosmetic defects.
Some repair procedures, particularly tyre removal, seized component removal and bearing extraction, may occasionally result in minor cosmetic marks despite the use of appropriate tools and care.
We are not responsible for pre-existing cosmetic damage.
Customers will be notified once repairs have been completed.
Bicycles should be collected promptly.
We reserve the right to charge reasonable storage fees for bicycles remaining uncollected for more than 7 days after notification.
Storage charges may continue until collection.
Where a bicycle remains uncollected despite reasonable attempts to contact the owner, we reserve the right to dispose of or sell the bicycle after a reasonable period in accordance with applicable law in order to recover unpaid repair, storage and administrative costs.
Any remaining balance, where legally required, will be handled in accordance with applicable legislation.
Payment is due immediately upon completion of repairs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to retain possession of the bicycle until all outstanding charges have been paid in full.
Repairs may be cancelled before work has commenced.
Where work has already begun, customers are responsible for paying for labour performed, diagnostics completed and any parts ordered specifically for their repair.
We exercise reasonable care and skill when carrying out repairs.
However, we are not responsible for:
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to applicable law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the repair giving rise to the claim.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless applicable law provides otherwise.
